ITINERARY AT A GLANCE 

Day 1: Meet Taurus at Jaisalmer and drive 120 kms to Tanot and visit the famous Tanot Mata Temple.  Visit Longewala, the famous battlefield of India, around 40 kms from Tanot. Night onboard Taurus in wilderness.

Day 2: After leisurely breakfast, drive to Khuri, on the way visit Khaba Fort. Night onboard Taurus at Khuri.

Day 3: After breakfast, its time to head for Jaisalmer and say goodbye to Taurus for homeward journey, else explore Jaisalmer.

It’s again memorable drive through sand dunes and sand mountains along the Indo-Pak border.

It’s a treat to spend a night on board TAURUS in a location like this. On a moonless night, you witness a dazzling star show in the sky and if it’s a moonlit night, it’ll be the most well-lit landscape you may have ever seen. Though it’ll be an experience that can’t be described in words, it will certainly make you a celebrity story teller along with the priceless photos once you are back home and at office for lunchtime stories.

Our morning tea tradition is like a spa for the soul in such locations. While the kitchen knife is dancing on the chop-board in the most elaborate field kitchen of Taurus to roll out a healthy homely breakfast, you can soak yourself in the untouched sand-dunes and visit the nearby Rajasthani village with mud houses.

After a leisurely breakfast, Taurus will steer to Khaba Fort for the evening tea, with a stopover to relish a typical Rajasthani highway lunch and then drive to Khuri, a village famous with the tourists that offers a sneak peek into the rural Rajasthan.

On arrival at Khuri, ride the camels to witness an out of the world sunset over the dunes. If you wish, we can organise a cultural evening alongwith evening tea and snacks around fire at a resort, as extra activity (to be paid extra).

WHAT IS INCLUDED
  • Pick up and drop, only as one single group.
  • All three veg homely meals as buffet (including morning and evening tea with biscuits) which are onboard Taurus. Field lunch (veg) while travelling (from the kitchen of Taurus or roadside Dhaba), without any beverages. If anyone opts for non-veg at such stops, then its to be paid by the participant directly to the establishment.
  • Taurus to travel on-board for the itinerary.
  • Stay onboard Taurus as per the accommodation available on double occupancy and rotational basis and sleeping bags provided by us.
  • Filtered water, please bring your own bottles to refill.
  • Camel ride for sunset at Khuri, two on one camel. If opted for single camel for one person, then has extra  cost, without tariff adjustment.
  • Visit  Border Post, if permission granted, taxi to be hired at extra cost.

  • Journey home to Jaisalmer, back home.
  • Escorts, guides and porters.
  • Any food and snacks on excursions and travel.

OPTIONAL:  Following activities are available as optional, at extra cost.

  1. Visit to Border Post: If you wish to visit Border Post next to Tanot then the required permission has to be arranged 1 or 2 days in advance and suitable transport to be arranged from Jaisalmer itself. The transport (taxis) to visit the Border Post shall be hired at extra cost paid directly by the guests to the driver.
  2. Cultural Program at Khuri: If you wish we can coordinate for cultural program in the evening at a camp/ resort at Khuri
  3. Camel Safari : At Khuri, we can organise 1 day camel safari or 2 day and a night camel safari.
