Amritsar, the historical town, is the hub of cultural heritage of Punjab. It has many attractions for everyone historian, photographers, travellers, foodie, religious, rich culture, etc.
Amritsar is a city in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab, 28 kilometers from the border with Pakistan. At the center of its walled old town, the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is the holiest gurdwara (religious complex) of the Sikh religion. It’s at the end of a causeway, surrounded by the sacred Amrit Sarovar tank (lake), where pilgrims bathe.
Early morning Heritage Walk with Raminder Pal Singh and enjoy a hot cup of tea at a street vendor. After the heritage walk enjoy your Punjabi breakfast, visit the market to buy traditional dresses and Punjabi suits with handcrafted footwear (Punjabi Tille wali Kasuri Jutti). After Punjabi lunch, departure for Attari Border Post to witness the Retreat Parade. Dinner at Amritsar. Night at the hotel.
Optional: Early morning visit to the Golden Temple (as extra activity, not included in the package).
After early breakfast travel by road to Pathankot railway station to board narrow gauge train for 2 hours of journey. Alight at a station short of Kangra. If time permits visit Kangra Fort, otherwise drive straight to the hotel to check-in at McLeod Ganj for stay.
Explore McLeod Ganj. Nestled amidst majestic hills and lush greenery, Mcleodganj is a beautiful town situated near upper Dharamsala. It’s known as “Little Lhasa” or “Dhasa” because of its large population of Tibetans. The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj. It is famous for being home to the world-renowned Tibetan spiritual leader the 14th Dalai Lama. Night at a hotel.
Explore Dharmshala. Enjoy your lunch. Drive for one and half hours and reach the Camp around Pong Dam reservoir. Take a light walk and enjoy your dinner, sleep onboard Taurus/ Hornbill/ Praying Mantis, as per your program.
Enjoy early morning tea, walk or enjoy a session of self meditation. After the breakfast in the lap of nature, you may enjoy the recreational activities, go for a drive in your car or cab, visit nearby areas of interest. Stay onboard Taurus or the trailers. Morning tea, walk/ yoga and meditation. Recreational activities. Stay onboard.
After field breakfast departure for home, against your wishes, as you would love to change your mind to extend your stay but the compulsions of city life will set your bearings to home. You may proceed to Gaggal Airport, Chandigarh or Delhi for homeward journey.

- Journey from home to Amritsar. Return journey from the Camp to home. Drop on the 6th Day (you pay directly as you use).

- Food, beverages of all kinds, snacks, at Amritsar (basically to let you exercise freedom of selection and enjoy flexibility, save money in a way).
- Toy Train ride – Pathankot to Kangra.
- Porters, guides and escorts at all places.
