Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahab) also known as Darbar Sahab is the holiest Sikh shrine (Gurudwara Sahab), it’s at Amritsar. It get’s decorated with flowers and special lighting on celebration of Gurupurab (special day of any of the 10 Gurus).
Arrive at Amritsar (we suggest you arrive before noon), check-in at a hotel. Enjoy Punjabi lunch. Visit the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, evening witness light and sound show. Punjabi dinner at one of the famous Dhabas of Amritsar. Stay at a hotel for the night.
Amritsar is a city in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab, 28 kilometers from the Indo-Pak border. The historical town of Amritsar is the hub of cultural heritage of Punjab. It has many attractions for everyone (traveller and photographer) i.e. history, food, religion, rich culture, etc. At the center of its walled old town, the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib/ Darbar Sahab) is the holiest gurdwara (religious complex/ shrine) of the Sikh religion, it’s the main attraction of Amritsar rather whole of Punjab.
Golden Temple (Darbar Sahab) is the holiest Gurudwara Sahab shrines of Sikh revered by Sikhs all over the world.
Heritage Walk is conducted by an expert Raminder Pal Singh (international photo journalist) in the old city of Amritsar to get glimpses of Sikh heritage and Punjabi culture and old architecture.
Early morning Heritage Walk with Raminder Pal Singh and enjoy a hot cup of tea at a street tea stall. After the heritage walk enjoy your breakfast, visit the market for shopping Punjabi suits and Punjabi Jutti handcrafted and embroidery with silk thread called Tilla (that’s why it’s called Tillewali Punjabi Jutti). After a delightful Punjabi lunch, departure for Atari Border Post to witness the Retreat Parade. Dinner at Amritsar. Night at the hotel.
Amritsar is known for traditional Punjabi food, it’s a paradise. There are famous spots and small vendors who are monumental in this old city. Bharawan Da Dhaba (means Brothers’ Dhaba).
Punjabi Jutti (traditional handcrafted footwear for men) is very popular to be worn on special occasions. This pair is made in Kasur town of Pakistan. It’s embroidery has been done with golden thread made of silk.

After early breakfast, travel by road to Pathankot railway station to board narrow gauge train for 2 hours of journey; alight at a station short of Kangra. If time permits visit Kangra Fort, otherwise drive straight to the Camp. Check-in at the camp and enjoy your cup of tea. Take a walk and enjoy dinner, sleep onboard Taurus/ Hornbill/ Praying Mantis, as per your program. Location of your Taurus and trailers will be offered as per your package.

Nihangs are the descendants and soldiers of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. They have been known as fierce warriors. Even now they wear their traditional outfit of soldiers of that era.
Gobindgarh Qila (Fort) is one of the main attractions of Amritsar.
Jallianwala Bagh reminds every Indian about the freedom struggle our ancestors did to get India free from the cruel clutches of the British Raj.
Traditional Punjabi Jutti (Kasuri). It’s handcrafted footwear for women. Usually they wear on special occasions with traditional dress on weddings. social parties, festivals, religious gathering, etc.
Punjabi Jutti (Punjabi traditional handmade shoes) is very popular and is worn by men. In olden days rich people used to get embroidery done with gold threads known as Tilla – that’s how its also known as TILLE WALI JUTTI.

Gobindgarh Qila (GG Fort) is one of the most famous monuments of Amritsar.
Pul Kanjri is a historical site situated 35 km away from Amritsar on Amritsar-Lahore road. It is one of the heritage sites built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, where he used to rest while travelling with his troops. During his reign, Pul Kanjari was an important trading centre. The legend has it when Maharaja Ranjit Singh married Begum Gul Bahar, on their way to Lahore they had to cross this canal on Ravi river. People used to cross the canal by foot but Begum Gul Bahar refused to do so. Since Maharaja Ranjit Singh was deeply in love with Begum Gul Bahar, he had a small bridge built for her. Some part of the bridge still exists. It was named Pul Kanjri.
The Zamzama Gun (Zam-Zammah” or “Zam-Zammeh”), meaning “thunder” or “roar”, also known as Kim’s Gun or Bhangianwali Toap is a large bore cannon. It was cast in about 1757 in Lahore (present-day Pakistan). It is currently on display in front of the Lahore Museum in Lahore, Pakistan.
Gurupurab celebrations at Golden Temple is one of the main attractions of Amritsar for travellers and tourists.
Phulkari/ Fulkari the most famous traditional folk embroidery on cloth.
