FIRE & SAFETY: While structuring TAURUS, our primary concern was ‘fire and safety’. The number uno term of reference was simple: ‘we must be as safe as could be expected under the circumstances’. By following the golden rule, “prevention is the best cure”, we made a conscious decision not to use synthetic panels, despite very pocket-friendly, that are highly inflammable and once the fire starts, the fumes emanating from their being act as the most strong executioners. The good old wood- slow to catch fire and self-extinguishing if no external oxygen available and no toxic smoke – is what we use! To minimise the trigger-related fire accidents, the integrated kitchen is outside the cabin. Similarly, the tents are over the ground for added safety.

BATHING: Most of our holidays are rustic nomadic with aristocratic touch.  NOMADIC STYLE has so much of fun with its own charm but still not for everyone. With our 30 years of outdoor experience, we say that if you love your shower daily just for the sake of routine, then you may need to reconsider being on outdoor holidays and we have the following for bathing:

  • On outdoor holidays DO AS ROMANS DO, especially in the cold weather (our areas of operation are cold even in summer), one doesn’t need to bathe everyday. However we offer the following:
  • To freshen up we offer you warm water for sponging as `warm wet wipes’, carry a small hand-towel for the purpose.
  • On sunny days, when weather and resource are favorable, we organise ‘outdoor bathing’ by hiring water tanker with a hose and powered pump. Also, it could be a lake or river and stream. IT’S SO MUCH OF FUN … every outdoor soul loves the splash in nature! We offer a tent shelter for such outdoor bathing for ladies.
  • On package holidays, our guests take bath while staying in a guest-house, resort, hotel, etc. as part of the itinerary.

WATER: Taurus has stainless steel water tanks with storage capacity of 800 liters. Its fitted with a water filter for potable water, of a well known international brand.

TOILET: Taurus has total three toilets which are offered as per the circumstances and situation. Onboard toilet is used only by the women while travelling, else in emergency on the move. Other two field toilets are deployed as per the needs if ground permits.

MULTI UTILITY KIT 

We conduct outdoor holidays away from town and cities and in case of any broken shoe lace, loss of a button or hook, stitches giving way, these small things can make holidays unpleasant.
